Golden Retrievers and dogs in general have always been part of my life and destiny.
The way they lead their lives - with love and enthusiasm - is so profound and real, every human can learn something from them.
They surprise me every day with their versatility and their understanding of us.
Selfless, alert, kind and gentle they steer their way into our lives.
My name is Dalia, I am a small Golden Retriever breeder based around Gunning. To give them the best life some of our precious girls live with other families, they can be found under "
With Guardians". However, they have spent weeks to years at our home prior to breeding. Good welfare is pivotal to us and our girls are bred between 1-4 times, depending on the individual as well as the outcome. We advocate natural breedings, without hormonal treatments or scheduled csearians and we aim to keep surgical AI's to a minimum.
So far, Dalsgold Retrievers doesn't own any males. We carefully select individual males to suit our females. Descriptions as well as photage of the boys that are 'in use' can be found under "
Sires".
My goal is to produce well-bred GR puppies with all the knowledge, common sense and space to do so.
Focusing on great character, good health and early socialising I have no doubt that each individual puppy will be special in their own right.
All litters are whelped inside with plenty of outdoor access. They are being raised on premium foods and supplements. We use the Puppy Culture method as well as early scent stimulation.
A bit more about us:Over the years I have gained a solid understanding of animal care and husbandries. I started my first big dog journey in Finland and Norway, where I looked after numerous (180 dogs on each farm) huskies. There I learnt how to exercise and care for dogs, soon realising that I had an eye for the dogs' overall welfare and health. Back in Australia, a new goal crystalised: The training of rescued working dogs (mostly Kelpies). Soon after that I had found my love for Golden Retrievers. My work, Wool Classing, allows me to incorporate both breeds into my everyday life.
Education & achievements:

My husband Henry has a lifelong background in agriculture and sheep breeding. He has been pivotal to the success of this kennel and I can't thank him enough for his wealth of knowledge and common sense that he has contributed, for the ongoing support of my dreams and his levelness and patience with our dogs.
